Transit Tops Townhall
MAY 6, 2018
Sen. Jordan characterized the special transit districts as a compromise that will allow those in Cobb who want transit nearby to foot the bill for it, and those who do not to keep their wallets shut.
“We think about half of Cobb really wants transit, and half of Cobb really doesn’t, so this was a way that maybe we can make both sides feel OK,” Jordan said. “If you don’t want it and you’re strongly against it, then you won’t have transit coming your way. But if you do want it, and I think a lot of people in the Cobb part of our districts really wanted, then we’re able to move this forward to be at the table.” — Marietta Daily Journal
